3D Print Martian Moons

Download these STL files for Phobos and Deimos and 3D print your own Martian moons!

Point cloud shape model of the largest of Mars’ two moons, Phobos. This was made using data from the NASA Planetary Data System, plotted using R and the rgl library. (see my code here on Github) The enveloping red sphere grid is representative of the maximum diameter of Phobos (the smallest sphere within which Phobos can fit) approx. 28 km (17.4 miles) in diameter.

Phobos and Deimos point clouds side by side (in real life they do not orbit Mars anywhere near each other).
